![]() ![]() Btw if anyone else figures out the percentage thing please let me know on here. The second image below has those percentages in front of the height and width for some reason when u first copy it in from a pinned chat but if u paste it in a chat then recopy it goes it doesn't have the percentages like the one at the top so idk lol. As you can see, our selected picture is uploaded successfully press the Save Changes button to save it: In the next section, we will talk about changing the server picture on the Discord mobile app. This size is pretty small overall, so most images u send will have to be scaled down, which is why the vast majority of my pinned images had the editing feature.Īlso, there's one more unexplained thing that I couldn't figure out. Additionally, adjust the uploaded picture and click on the Apply button: Step 7: Save Changes. ![]() Basically, the max size you can have in discord is 440 width and 330 height, so anything you send is automatically scaled down to those sizes by either height or width or both and images that do not need to be scaled down at all when sent don't have the property to change the size even after being pinned (at least this is the theory). After some more trial and error, I realized that the images that did not let you edit them even after copying from pinned messages, were images that are very small, mainly from snipping tool, but I imagine it might be any very small image. Or was this the case? I then realized that there are some pinned messages that still don't have the option even when you copy them. In case of having a large image, resize it using an online. Some things to note is that I believe it has to be copied on a computer and you have to copy it from the actual pinned messages screen, you can't go to where it is pinned then copy, but after you copy from the pinned page that link is able to be edited if anyone else copies, mobile or not. The default size of Discord profile picture is 128 X 128 pixels or with a 1:1 aspect ratio. After some trial and error, I realized that it only allows u to edit the size in discord like this if you copy the link to an image that is pinned in a dm or channel then paste it into the chat and edit from there. Then I started copying the links of other images but quickly realized most didn't have this size editing feature at the end of it. I thought discord had bugged or something, but then I realized that the last section of the link has width and height at the end of it and I had deleted the last 0, making it go from 330 to 33 height, thus cutting it down a lot. This basically happened by pure chance at 3 am.īasically, I was sending an image in a chat and it was randomly cut in half. Okay first of all idk if this is common knowledge so if it is ima look dumb, but I never knew about this and haven't seen anyone actually utilizing it in the few servers I'm in, it also took a while to figure out how it works since I couldn't find anything on google. ![]()
